The thing I like about these shows is that the writers take the time to set up believable 'red herrings' that could actually come back and be storylines in later episodes. Very clever! It's one o fthe strong points of this show in that most shows either feed into another storyline or have been fed from a previous storyline.
This one starts with a runner in a shopping centre who ends up dead in the car park missing a hand!
He was a sailor who came back from The Middle East and cutting off the hand is a sign of dealing with a theif. Is he a theif or is there something else to it? He works at a top secret facility so could his hand be used to gain access? Are terrorists involved? Is it a domestic issue involving his fiance or his best friend? Or could it have been the guy with anger management issues that he owes money to?
Also, it's Hetty's birthday and she doesn't like parties or presents, so do the team do anything and risk her wrath or do nothing and make her think they don't care? It's up to the annoying new team member, Nell Jones played by Renee Felice Smith, to make the decision.
