Dances With Wolves - Original Soundtrack

John Barry is most famous for his work on creating the sound for James Bond but one of his finest soundtracks is to the brilliant (yes, I said 'Brilliant' and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong!) Kevin Costner film, Dances With Wolves.  I remember seeing this film and being blown away by the scope and grandeur.  Kevin Costner proved he is not just a good actor but has a brilliant eye for cinema as a director.
John Barry's accompanying score is at times both immense, evoking the wide landscape of the Indian Plains, and intensely personal and sad with the theme of Stands With a Fist.
The Main Theme is called 'Looks Like a Suicide' is such a beautiful piece of music which The John Dunbar Theme is the main part of.
This soundtrack is so good it won the 1991 Academy Award for Best Soundtrack and the 1992 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition Written for a Motion Picture or for Television.
Take the time to listen to this soundtrack, you will be VERY impressed.
