Great Jack Nicholson line (No, he's not in it!) but it is very much describing Dean, but more on that later.
Sam and Dean investigate a spate of suicides that end up being related because they die after everyone telling them the ugly truth about themselves. Dean invokes the 'curse' on himself inadvertantly and decides to put Sam on the spot about watching while the vampire force fed him blood (last episode). Sam surprising answers that he doesn't know what Dean is talking about which is good enough for Dean.
They discover the responsible party for the nasty goings on is Veritas, the Goddess of Truth. Noone can lie to her. When the boys try to destroy her, she captures them and is going to consume them but first makes Dean tell Sam how he really feels and vice versa. However, she is shocked to find that Sam is lying! She doesn't know what he is! Of course the boys are victorious but then Dean demands to know what Sam is. Sam confesses that since he has been out, he has been different but only that he doesn't feel anything, especially not fear. Dean is shocked and consequently beats the living crap out of Sam and that is how it ends. Not handled very well at all! Where do the boys go from here?
A good but mediocre episode that serves to move us further along the season 6 path of Sam's story since his return from The Pit. Not bad for coasting but we need to keep the pressure on to continue the excellent quality of this show. Apparently this pays off as I recently read that they are getting a seventh season! Woo Hoo!
