Weekend at Bobby's was one of my favourite episodes of Supernatural so far AND it was directed by none other than Jensen 'Dean Winchester' Ackles himself! Wisely, he took a back seat in the story and put the spotlight fairly on the unsung hero, Bobby Singer (named after Supernatural director/producer Robert Singer). Normally Bobby is the go to guy if the boys need something and this time we see what else he gets up to with his 'spare time'.
The story is based around Bobby trying to get his soul back from Crowley, who of course has reneged on his deal to give it back. While dealing with this devastating news, Dean calls to get help with dealing with a monster and we see the lengths Bobby goes to to get the information for the boys, for little thanks! Plus we get to see him deal with other hunters on the phones and at his place, we see him almost get a woman, until a monster gets involved, plus his relationship with law enforcement.
This is a funny epsiode but at the same time full of the normal Supernatural drama. I really enjoyed this episode and if you haven't seen it, track it down!
