This week's episode was a little close to what happened in New Zealand with the mine explosion. Was this show written before that happened or because of that event? They both had a young man who perished in his first week on the job. Lightman is called in to expose the truth about who was responsible for the explosion and the deaths of the miners. A pretty generic sort of story from that point of view.
Meanwhile, the FBI have footage of Lightman playing poker with known criminals and they want him to help them catch them or they will arrest him. Lightman's partner, Foster, goes to bat for him and offers to get the guys as long as the FBI leave Lightman alone.
The episode ends with Foster and Torres celebrating by drinking a 50 year bottle of scotch that belongs to Lightman. He comes back to the office to find Torres passed out and Foster very drunk. She ends up in his arms and that's how it ends. Does he take advantage of her? What is it with their relationship?
An OK episode but nothing spectacular.
