A really good episode of Parenthood this week, sees Hattie return to her home after her Grandmother suggests that she go home. Her parents are so happy to have her home that they now allow her to see Alex but under certain conditions which Hattie readily agrees to. I thought they caved a little but as my wife explained, at least their daughter is at home safe again and everyone is happy and that is more important than 'winning'. As usual, I could learn a lot from my very wise wife.
Drew goes to see his musician father Seth without letting his Mum, Sarah, know. When Amber finds out, she goes ballistic, which then alerts Mum, who in turn also goes ballistic. Sarah goes to see Seth (played by the incredibly relaxed and mellow John Corbett - just not as extreme as his musician character in Serendipity!) and lays down the law that if he hurts their children, she will kill him. She lets Drew see his Dad in concert and Amber decides to take him. She still does not trust her Dad.
Meanwhile the wedding plans are roaring along for Crosby and Jasmine, but poor Crosby is being left behind and all the decisions are being made without him. Finally, he snaps and they have a huge fight and he ends up leaving and spending the night on his empty boat with some beer and Chinese food. Not a good mix! It had to come to a head though and Jasmine needs to see that they need to be a partnership, and that she is not to be a controller in the relationship. Rough seas ahead!
A good episode again. Really enjoying this show.
