Merlin - Queen Of Hearts

Morgana awakes from a nightmare (or is it a prophecy?) of Gwen as Queen of Camelot.  She is adamant that this must not occur and her sister advises her to expose the relationship between Arthur and Gwen to King Uther.  She conspires to have Gwen and Arthur spend a day together outside of the castle and then gets Uther to go horse riding with her and they 'unexpectantly' come across the two lovers!
Uther is incensed and banishes Gwen from Camelot but Arthur fights with Uther and announces he will leave with her.  Morgana takes her chance and points out that Arthur must be under an enchantment by a witch to act like this.  He would never in his right mind give up his throne for a commoner!  Uther demands Gwen be burnt at the stake!
Merlin must do something to save her and comes up with the brilliant plan of coming up with someone else who is the enchanter, him!  He performs a spell to make himself look old and pretends to be laying another enchantment but to be seen.  He tries to escape so he can change back into his true self, but something goes wrong and he can't change!  He may have succeeded in saving Gwen but now will Merlin get burnt at the stake instead?
This was another great episode and we get to see Merlin as he is usually portrayed, as an old man.  There were some fun moments, like when the 'old' Merlin takes this opportunity to rant at Uther and Arthur! And the makeup effects were fantastic, just look at the picture below.
