Body Of Proof, for those who are as old as I am, is like Quincy M.D., except with a beautiful woman as the Medical Examiner, played by the beautiful Dana Delaney. She is Dr Megan Hunt and this first episode deals with the find of a woman's body in the river. Dr Hunt thinks there is more to this death and starts investigating. As the investigation goes on, we learn about her. She was a successful neurosurgeon (but one that didn't see patients as people), who was in a terrible car accident. Her hands are affected and go numb and due to this, she inadvertently kills a patient. She resigns immediately and after some time, takes up the position of Medical Examiner. She figures you can't kill someone who is already dead!
Due to what happened with her work, her private life also fell apart, with her husband divorcing her and getting full custody of their 12 year old daughter. I have to say, the only down side to this show is that the daughter acts older than any 12 year old I know. They should have made her 16 or to act more like the child a 12 year old would be.
The story is filled with the usual red herrings any show worth it's salt should have so that you are kept thinking and working along with it and you won't guess who the killer is.
The show is quite good. Dana Delaney is excellent and the show also stars Jeri Ryan and Australia's Nicholas Bishop.
