This episode of Body of Proof was very well written with heaps of red herrings which keeps you guessing all the way. It starts with homeless man finding a hand sticking out of the ground with what appears to be a body buried. However, Dr Hunt discovers it is merely a hand and a foot. The victim has been cut up into pieces! Using all her knowledge she is able to work out information about the victim. As more pieces turn up, they work out who the victim is and where he lives. On the night he died, he had just won $25,000 at the Casino.
Was the killer the woman he left with from the Casino? Who was the mystery man in the car that picked him up outside? Was it his daughter and son-in-law who had been paying for his medical bills? Why are they caught with the $25,000 cash? Was it the building manager who wanted to turn the apartment into a luxury unit? Or was it one of his neighbours who fought with him, or even their 'nanny'?
I don't want to give anything away, but there are so many possible killers this time and it was really clever the way this all comes together.
While this is all happening, Megan's daughter, Lucy, decides to do a school project where she videos one of her parent's work places. Megan is at first happy she was chosen, then not happy due to working with corpses. When she ends up having to agree (she didn't really get much of a choice) she tries to control it with pre-set questions that must only be asked. Of course, none of the staff stick to the questions. What this does is give Lucy a new respect for her Mother and what she does and it reflects in the video she ends up handing in.
One of the best episodes so far.
