This was not one of the best episodes of The Defenders with some lazy writing for the sake of the story. Plus, perhaps I am a little slow, but the resolutions seemed a bit confusing to me.
At a rap concert, someone shoots and kills a rapper and an 'innocent' female bystander. The police believe it is a rival rapper called Killa Diz and his manager employs Nick and Pete to defend him. However, the manager, wants to ensure Killa Diz retains his 'killa' reputation and has Killa perform a rap where he confesses to killing the two people. Of course, the police arrest him.
Meanwhile Pete is helping a man accused of internet hacking crimes but as the wrong person. He has to prove he is not who the police think he is. While in jail, he gets to a computer (this is where the episode lost me. How does someone accused of computer hacking crimes gets access to a computer in prison?) and is able to get through the prison firewalls and hack in to post his own bail and get himself out of jail! I am sorry but that is a bit of crap.
Meanwhile Killa Diz does a runner and then posts a rap online saying he is innocent and of course they use the hacker to locate where the video was posted from.
I didn't get how it was shown that he didn't kill the two people and the criminal hacker got off on his crimes because he gave up a bigger fish. A poor episode overall.
