The suave Michael Buble smoothly catapulted to the public consciousness with his self-titled album and especially the song 'Sway'. 'Sway' has featured in at least two movies and 'Come Fly With Me', also off the album, has featured in at least one other movie. They can all be termed 'Romantic Comedies', well sort of.
'Come Fly With Me' was in the Hugh Grant/Sandra Bullock 'Two Weeks Notice' (which I just love!) while Sway was in 'The Wedding Date' starring Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney as well as the cooks movie, No Reservations', starring the beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones and Two-Face himself, Mr Aaron Eckhart. While the trailer may advertise 'No Reservations' as a romantic comedy, it was nothing of the sort. In fact it was a very good drama that dealt with loss of family and the issues surrounding most families of today, juggling kids and work. It's a good movie but not what I was expecting.
Anyway, the album is fantastic. I just love 'Fever' for the opening track and the remake of George Michael's 'Kissing a Fool'. There is also a great Buble version of Queen's 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'. Barry Gibb even sings back up for the remake of the BeeGee's, 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart'.
This is a wonderful album - That's All!
