This is my second post regarding this unique performer. I loved 'Don't Pay The Ferryman' and at the time, I was introduced to his other music, specifically the album "Into The Light". I was blown away. His gallic voice helps to tell the amazing stories he tells through his music, whether they be personal songs about his family or stories of war in Europe, or even religious thoughts or thoughts about the nature of being human. These are not pop songs but very deep and meaningful songs done in a very palatable way, like an exquisite meal. Some of the music is slow, while some of it is large and epic. Lots of great drums and electric guitar!
Of course I wouldn't be reviewing it here is there was no movie link. The song "The Lady In Red", written about his wife, has been used in a number of movies including American Psycho, Working Girl, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Baby Mama. It has also come up in a number of television shows, most notably an episode of Supernatural!
This is simply a wonderful album that captures the spirit of some of the best 80's music but stands the test of time.
