In the penultimate episode for season six, the way is made clear for he finale to take place. Crowley abducts Lisa and Ben and warn Dean to stay out of his plans or he will kill them. This only spurs him on. In their investigations into purgatory, they discover the writer H.P. Lovecraft wrote a manuscript about purgatory before he died and gathered some people one night to open it for them. Everyone who attended that night has died or gone insane, except for a little boy who was there. He is now an old man and Bobby visits him discovering that his mother is none other than his old love Ellie, who is older than she looks! She knows how to open purgatory and is being hunted by Crowley and Castiel but is protected while inside her safe house.
Meanwhile, Balthazar, who previously told Castiel he would support him, transports Sam and Dean to where Crowley has Lisa and Ben held hostage, only to find she has been taken over by a demon. Dean tries to exorcise the demon who then stabs itself, that is, Lisa's body. Dean succeeds in releasing the demon and rushes Lisa to a hospital. Castiel arrives and heals her wound and Dean asks that he wipes Lisa and Ben's minds of all memory of him. Now they can no longer be used against him. The episode ends with Ellie leaving her safe house only to discover Castiel waiting for her. Cas now has the means to open purgatory. What is going to happen in the final episode? Can't wait!
