House - The Fix

There are three stories happening in this week's episode.  The first is a woman scientist who collapses and appears to be suffering from radiation poisoning.  Of course the team keep coming up with misdiagnoses until the end of the program and they find out she has been poisoned with Spanish Fly by her lover because she has been having an affair.  Ho Hum.
The second story is House and Wilson having a bet on a boxing match and House loses, but he is convinced the guy took a fall.  After meeting the boxer, he becomes convinced there is something medically wrong with him that caused him to collapse during the fight and not the 'knock-out' punch.  Of course, once again there are a number of theories until House works out what the real cause is.  Again, Ho Hum.
But the third story is the best of the lot.  We see House preparing a powder and then injecting it in his arm, like heroin.  Is this what he has been reduced to?  Is the pain in his leg this bad?  One day, Thirteen walks in on him while he is injecting and he reveals he doesn't want to increase his dependency on Vicodin and it is actually an experimental drug that has been successfully rebuilding damaged muscle in rats but he doesn't seem to think it is working on him, so he throws it all in the bin.  Later in the episode, he realises that he can support his weight on his leg without the use of his cane and he is pain free.   He ends up stealing some more of the experimental drug.  The episode finishes though with the scientist who is developing the drug, finding one of his rats dead.  Is House about to kill himself?
