The owner of the eye that opens MTAC is revealed to belong to the team's sometimes partner/enemy, Trent Kort. The eye patch wearing Kort reveals the P2P killer is an assassin created by the CIA, a Lt. Jonas Cobb. He was put through the most horrendous training to become the trained killer he is, but now he is out to get the people who made him this way.
Mike Franks is visiting Gibbs and while Gibbs is in his basement doing some beautiful woodwork, Franks investigates something outside the house. It turns out to be Cobb, who kills Franks after he injures him. Gibbs is devastated and confronts Vance to tell him what is going on. Vance reveals that E.J. Barrett was brought in on this assignment on orders that came from above Vance.
Cobb tricks Barrett into coming to an abandoned building to capture him but he successfully ambushes the team, taking them out one by one. The episode ends with Cobb attacking Barrett.
What's Barrett's connection with Cobb and will he succeed in killing her?
A powerful episode with the death of a much loved Mike Franks. Can't wait for the season finale!
